Publications in the collection cover the construction and dedication of the George Washington Bridge, including a sketch of O.H. Ammann, who built the bridge; include a brochure and maps describing the establishment and dimensions of Fieldston, a residential park known for its respect for local topography, located west of Van Cortlandt Park; and a brochure concerning the restoration of St. Paul's Church, Eastchester. Photographs cover the Bronx (Spuyten Duyvil, Riverdale, Fieldston, Henry Hudson Parkway, Fordham); northern Manhattan (Washington Heights, Columbia University Medical Students Dormitory, 168th-170th Streets, Riegger Mansion on 180th Street, 181st Street, 186th-187th Streets); Harlem (Jumel Place and Edgecomb Ave. at 167th-168th Streets). Included are photographs of archaeological excavations conducted by T. Stiles, Harry Trowbridge, and Julius Lopez. A number of photographs identified as Washington Heights are not specifically located.

Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff (1914-1980), a dentist and amateur archeologist, served as Bronx Historian (1953-1980). He helped found the Bronx County Historical Society in 1955 and was its first president.
